The Women's World Summit Foundation (WWSF), based in Geneva, has been giving 344 empowerment prizes for rural women and women's groups since 1994. In 2008 AFIA-FEV was proud to be awarded the WWSF Prize for Women's Creativity in Rural Life of $3000:

With the prize money we were able to lend more money to women we work together with, as well as inform more women about how we can help them. WWSF have been very active in supporting AFIA-FEV in many ways. We thanks them from our heart for their kind help.
